Welcome, this is a podcast about video games and japanese animation. I'll review one game and one show each episode. Careful though, I'll spoil the story.
No full reviews this show but I do talk a bit about Age of Conan: The Hyborian Adventures and Desert Punk. I also speak briefly about Metal Gear Solid: Online and Otaku no Video.

That's it for this week. The song at the end is the english version of the second intro theme to Desert Punk. I don't know who sings it but I assume it's one of the voice actors on the show.
I'm back with Experiment 6. I continued my job hunting quest down in Texas, while there I made a side trip down to Houston to check out Tekken 6, so I have a little bit to say about that. I also talk about Blassreiter and the Anime Pacific podcast stopping. I then move on a review the anime, Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad. There isn't a game review this time but I do talk about Army of Two for about 3 seconds at the end. I guess you can consider the Tekken 6 talk a game review.
I end the show with "Moon on the Water" one of if not my favorite anime song. It's a bit "engrishy" but I don't think the singer on the dubbed version sounds as good so I put the Japanese version one. I have to head out of town this week so maybe I'll pick up something for review while I'm gone. I thinking about getting Paprika or Appleseed: Ex Machina but I'll probably end up not buying anything...
The next show will probably be pretty sort since I have to keep the file size down but the one after that will be the standard 1 anime, 1 game format.
In this episode I go a bit overboard perhaps and review a Henta...I mean OVA called Fencer of Minerva. I also review the PC game Crysis. Yeah, I know reviewing a PC game on a video game podcast can seem kinda odd since every other podcast is practically console only, but I just pick whatever I want to review so I don't see any reason to pretend PC games don't exist.
This show goes about 35 minutes which is a bit longer then I would have liked because 30 minutes is my goal but I felt the need to edit in a bunch of sound clips since I was so lazy with the last episode. By the way, if you are thinking of upgrading to Windows Vista, don't! Stupid program won't open some files and will crash internet explorer and other programs at random. At least don't get the 64 bit version, maybe the 32 bit version is okay. Either way, I wish I could get my $300 dollars back...

The game is pretty much a standard First Person Shooter, but the production values are high and it's more then competent.

Figured I'd do something different then toss a song on at the end here. There is a anime called Excel Saga, which has the thing after every episode it says, "Todays Experiment....Failed." I figured I'd mimic that somewhat but I didn't want to rip use the audio from the show and I didn't have any unlicensed music that sounded simular to use as a regular closer, I just tossed together a couple of clips from Fencer of Minerva and Crysis and combined them.
I'm a 29 year old guy who has been playing games since I was 4. I grew up in the early 80's so I was watching anime then too but I didn't know it at the time.
My personal tastes in anime is probably the slower plot driven shows. I do like action/gorey stuff but comedies are a hard sell for me. Gamewise, action adventer, role playing, and fighting games are my thing.
